The Dhamma Brothers

Produced in association with Freedom Behind Bars Productions, this film examines the introduction of Vipassana meditation, a silent ten-day program, into the lives of the inmates at Alabama’s maximum security Donaldson Correctional Facility.

The film tells a powerful tale of human potential and transformation, as the inmates begin this emotionally and physically demanding program, dismantling stereotypes about prison convicts.

The film won Best Documentary at the San Francisco Frozen Film Festival and the Woods Hole Film Festival.
